Two options: - Parent Funded - School Funded -

Parent Funded:

In one model parents make a onetime payment directly to Spn2Eng to have their children learn Spanish before or after school two to three times a week for 45-60 minutes each lesson, at a private or public school. This would include approximately 48 lessons (three times a week) over a four month period (Aug-Dec for example). A second session could also be implemented if deemed necessary. This option clears the school from financial responsibility and allows parents who are truly interested to benefit. It also offers the school the opportunity to service the needs of their students and parents more economically.

Parent Funded Rate:

A minimum enrollment of 10 students per session is required. The cost to parents is projected to be around $285.00/per child for a total of approximately 48 lessons over four months. Spn2Eng would provide the necessary staff and materials to teach each Spanish lesson. In other school districts for example, this program is organized through the PTO. Spanish to English would be willing to work with your PTO if necessary as well. This model has been successful and we feel that if parents are given the opportunity in your school district they will show interestl. School Funded:

Spn2Eng provides an introduction to the Spanish language through interactive, fun and educational teaching styles. We incorporate songs, art, and games to involve students. We encourage them to experience the language and build a lasting memory that will carry with them into their formal education. Many schools are experiencing the reality of an increasing Spanish population nation wide as well as in St. Louis and are realizing the necessity for our children to learn Spanish. Starting at an early age better prepares students for their high school and college experience and will give them a jump start on communicating with friends and coworkers in Spanish and English alike.

School Funded Rate:

A one hour lesson for a group of 5-10 students is $50.00 per group. An additional $5.00 per student is charged for materials after every four lessons. These lessons can be presented onsite one to three times a week before, during or after school hours. Contact us

TEACHERS COURSE
We believe that your school and its employees would benefit from Spanish lessons which are a great team building, educational and useful activity. These lessons would help them better communicate with and educate the many Hispanic students in your school district and their classrooms. We provide a 90 Days to Basic Fluency program that presents the essentials to communicating on a personal level in Spanish. Upon completion of our program your employees would be able to better communicate with native Spanish speaking students and their parents. Our goal is to enable your teachers to more effectively communicate classroom content to Spanish speaking students without the necessity of seeking an interpreter. Spn2Eng also offers interpreting services if needed in the meantime for IEP’s, parent conferences or other required communities.

Spanish to English Language Services, Inc encourages Home School groups to consider the possibility of including Spanish lessons as part of their curriculum. Many home school programs lack a foreign language course because of the absence of a bilingual parent. Spn2Eng offers an affordable group rate that will compliment the hard work and effort that parents put into their children's education. Our Home School Spanish lessons can be tailored made to meet your groups specific needs and also prepare them for college level courses in the future. Spn2Eng instructors will come to your home or home school group's meeting place, working with your schedule to make it convenient for you. Classes can meet as often as requested but generally meet once to twice weekly for 45-60 minutes per lesson and run three months. Sessions can start and end as requested. Many of our programs run year round.

Rates:

Spn2Eng has lesson material appropriate for ages six and older. A minimum of 6 students is required to form a Home School Spanish Group. $10.00/student each lesson ($8.00/student when enrolling multiple siblings). Spanish to English Language Services, Inc. Toddlers Courses are designed with the idea of empowering parents to be able to teach Spanish to their own children at an early age. This course is interactive involving both parents and children in the same class.

Several options are available and depending on your groups goals Spn2Eng can tailor make a specific course to meet your needs. The foundation of the Toddler course is based on the idea of starting the first few lessons meeting with the mothers/parents and helping them get excited about learning Spanish and feel it is possible to teach Toddlers Spanish. This is done through hands on activities that get everyone laughing and involved. The next phase is to present ideas for crafts that can be used to teach young children Spanish as well as different teaching methods involved with learning a foreign language. The third and final phase includes both parents and children. Over the last few lessons, parents bring their children for an activity workshop. Each parent enrolled in the course is assigned to a different station. The parents then become responsible for implementing one of the concepts or activities/crafts that they as a class had talked about and participated in creating. The children then rotate, station to station participating in different activities and learning basic concepts. This serves as a type of real world final exam for the parents to see how successful they were at being creative and implementing the ideas covered during the course.
